Oubaai Golf Club is perched atop rugged cliffs on the coastline at Herolds Bay on the outskirts of George. Oubaai is the first Ernie Els signature course in South Africa. The golf course design allows for a challenge to all levels of golfer and is a testimony to the talents of Els. The Golf Course is a traditional Links layout and measures 7,126 yards from the pro tees. distance, the gorge in front, the Gwaing River far below and the ocean in the distance. As you play the course your eyes absorb the spectacular views of forest, sea, river and mountain making it difficult to concentration on your score.
 
The Signature hole at Oubaai is the breathtaking 17th hole. The hole only plays a mere 157 yards but is guarded by four bunkers. The view from the elevated tee box must be one of the most scenic in South Africa. Don’t underestimate this short hole, one of the toughest on the course.
 
After the round the 19th awaits – the clubhouse has terrific views overlooking the finishing holes and the Indian Ocean.
