Lion Sands is the only private game reserve rooted in both the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and Kruger National Park. The Sabie River forms a natural boundary between its two sides, and its four waterside lodges provide the ultimate luxury safari bases. Ivory Lodge and River Lodge are located on the Sabi Sand side, and over on Kruger are Narina Lodge and Tinga Lodge. The animals roam freely between them, and no matter which side you choose to stay on, you will have exceptional game-viewing opportunities. Sabie River. Built around an enormous Jackalberry tree which is reputed to be over 200 years old, the deck affords magnificent views of the Sabie River, and regular sightings of the resident wildlife, including members of the Big Five. Life at Tinga has a timeless quality, where you can get lost in a moment, and take the time to really explore this piece of Africa on the banks of the Sabie River. Each luxury suite has its own deck with plunge pool, and has been designed for maximum appreciation of the wild along the bank of the Sabie River. The expansive suites each have a lounge area, a double bed, bathroom en-suite (the shower enjoys one of the most spectacular river views imaginable), air conditioning and a ceiling fan. 

For the hopeless romantic, the adventurer, the person who needs a complete disconnect and digital detox, or the wildlife enthusiast who prefers the bush au-natural consider the Tinyeleti Treehouse. Arrive at sunset to a scrumptious picnic dinner, and spend the hours of dusk fully appreciating the vastness of the bushveld as it transforms from day to night. Fall asleep directly beneath the Milky Way where you may well lose count of the shooting stars. Watch the sun dip beyond the horizon as you sip on a cocktail or a glass of bubbly. You will be utterly riveted by the many animals that arrive at the river to quench their thirst. The Tinyeleti Treehouse, which translates to Many Stars, is an overnight wilderness experience that has no match.
