Dulinin Daunara
Okavango Delta
Only accessible by helicopter from Maun, Dulini Daunara is nestled along a private lagoon in the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most remarkable ecosystems on Earth, offering a rare sense of seclusion within an untouched, ever-changing wilderness where seasonal floodwaters sustain extraordinary wildlife, from rare species like the sitatunga and red lechwe to over 440 bird species, making it one of Africa’s most pristine safari destinations. Elephants are pretty much daily visitors to the pool in front of the camp, and lechwe, zebras, impalas and cavorting wildebeest abound in the floodplains. The whole camp is connected via raised wooden walkways, allowing safe movement through the day. Set quietly within the landscape, each of the freestanding air-conditioned tented suites at Daunara are designed for privacy, space, and expansive views of the Delta. Inside, generous living areas open onto private decks overlooking the lagoon. Two of the five suites are connected by a shared sitting and dining area, ideal for families or close friends travelling together. A family-friendly kitchen allows you to interact directly with,….
the Daunara chefs, and a resident sommelier pairs each meal with selections from a well-stocked wine cellar. Early mornings bring birdsong and soft light across the water. By afternoon, the Delta glows gold. Indoor and outdoor showers, refined furnishings, and cool, shaded interiors create a space where comfort and wilderness exist in perfect balance.
Each day brings a new way to explore the Delta. Game drives, mokoro excursions, walking safaris, and helicopter flights offer views of the landscape from every angle. Activities are fully tailored to each group and encompass the full breadth of what the Okavango offers: morning and evening game drives across floodplains, guided walking safaris, seasonal boating, catch-and-release fishing from the floating deck, and unhurried mokoro excursions through papyrus-lined channels. The surrounding concession is home to lion, leopard, elephant, wild dog, and extraordinary birdlife — all experienced without the presence of other vehicles.
